Dunwich was once the economic and social heart of East Anglia before storm surge and coastal erosion destroyed a once busy medieval town. The tenacity of the local people to continue to build and rebuild places of worship over the years, combined with the lost church bells still ringing on a stormy night creates the myth surrounding this place.
